Due to federalism in Germany, the federal states decide on their own responsibility on the relaxation and restrictions of public life,
which means that there is no uniform regulation in Germany.
• The federal states, decide on hygiene and distance concepts on the basis of the occurrence of the respective infection and the specific characteristics of each federal state.
• The Lower Saxony Ordinance on infection control measures against the spread of the corona virus sets for ISCM 2021 the standard under which conditions an event can be planned and carried out in Lower Saxony. In addition, the protection and hygiene measures laid down by the organiser must be observed by all participants
• Only those who accept the protection and hygiene regulations for ISCM are entitled to enter. With registration the participant of ISCM agree to the specific rules and accept the conditions.
• We will keep to you informed about our hygiene and distance concepts via this website
Passport and visa
A valid passport is required for non-EU citizens for entry into GERMANY and the European Union. An identity card is sufficient for citizens of EU Member States. Please consult your local Consulate according to your nationality for specific details. A valid passport or identity card will also be needed in order to enter DLR site. Advance travel planning and early visa application are important, since entry to Germany with a visa is subject to more intense scrutiny than was previously the case. We highly recommend that foreign participants contact their local embassy to find out what travel documents they will need to visit Germany.
If you do need a visum to attend the symposium, please apply for one as soon as possible.

letter does not imply any financial obligations on the part of the symposium towards participants.
All participants of ISCM 2021 requiring an invitation letter for visa application purposes should request this as an option during the

registration fees has been received. Should your visa application be declined, you can send a request for a full refund of the registration
fees to firstname.lastname@example.org before March 26, 2021. A scanned copy of the rejection letter for a visa should be attached to your request for a refund. For requests after March 26, 2021 the cancellation policy will apply.
